Once your baby starts showing signs of being able to roll, it’s important to transition from swaddling for safety. The Sleepy Hugs is perfect for this stage, as it allows for free arm movement while still providing enough security to calm the startle reflex. It’s safe for babies who have started rolling onto their tummy during sleep, giving them the freedom to move their arms into their preferred position.

The Sleepy Hugs Original features a full-body length zip with a top zipper cover, and a long zip along the bottom for simple nappy changes during the night. The hip-friendly wide sack design accommodates a hip dysplasia brace comfortably.

The Sleepy Hugs 'Cool' range is rated 0.4 TOG, making it the perfect choice for warmer temperatures. It has been approved by Baby Safety Australia and carries the INPAA tick of approval, ensuring it meets the highest safety standards.

Care Instructions:
The Sleepy Hugs sleep suits should be machine washed in cold water with the zip done up. Wash dark colours separately and do not bleach. Avoid tumble drying and instead dry flat. Warm iron inside out if needed, but do not dry clean. Do not place the iron directly on the print.

Choosing the Correct Size:

The Sleepy Hugs is designed to have a looser fit than most other baby swaddle bags, making it most effective in helping your baby adjust to free arms with the correct size. If the suit is too big, it may not provide the snug security your baby needs, and excess fabric could pose a safety risk.

Size Guide:

• Medium (6-12 months): Suitable for babies aged 6 months and up, weighing 8 - 10 kg. The arm span width is approximately 65 cm, the length is approximately 75 cm, and the neck hole opening is approximately 12 cm.

The Sleepy Hugs 'Cool' range is made from high-grade premium cotton fabrics, ensuring breathability and comfort. Cotton is a natural material that helps prevent sweating or overheating, making it suitable for babies with eczema. The addition of soft mesh fabric inserts allows for continuous airflow around your baby, keeping them cool and comfortable all night long.

For the best sleep experience, dress your baby in a singlet and nappy/diaper under the Sleepy Hugs suit to ensure they don’t get too hot. The recommended room temperature is between 18-20°C. Avoid using synthetic materials or un-natural bedding that could cause your baby to overheat.
