Da Vinci Metallic Bronze Powder for waxes & mediums BRONZE 20ml

Metallic Bronze powder is the perfect additive for Gilding, use in clear epoxies, water base clear finish, or waxes

please note as the mediums are clear the colour you are applying will show through

MAKE YOUR OWN GILDING WAX OR METALLIC PASTE

There are a couple of ways to do this

1. Use Softened beeswax (our soft wax clear is perfect but soften in the microwave (in a plastic container for 20 seconds)
2. or Use PVA
3. or use a waterbased clear finish

You will need

• Powdered metallic
• Medium as above
• Disposable stirrer
• Mixing cup

Instructions:

Step 1: The first step is to put the metallic powder into the little mixing cup or plastic container. 

Step 2: The Second Step is to add your medium to the powder. We would suggest adding a teaspoon at a time gradually stirring with a mixing stick until you are happy with the thickness. Thicker pastes are good for Gilding , thinner ratios are better for coating .

Step 3: Now all you have to do is to stir the mixture well until you have a nice pliable substance.

That’s it! It really is that easy! Now all you have to do is put it into your little container with a tight-fitting lid. Now you have your own little pot of gold!

Application:

this is again up to you but I find either a wee artist brush or a soft rag is perfect.
