All plastic trade tool with rubber graining pattern is Handy tool to produce perfect heart-grain wood effects. The more rocking motion, the more grain pattern produced. Great for wood grain or moiré. Easy to use; they’ll think it’s really wood.

Step 1 :apply based coat of Da Vinci Distressed 

Step 2: Mix top colour with Roma wash (1 part Roma Wash -1 part paint)

Step 3: Apply only Green 2 in 1 Varnish stain mixed with roma wash on the base-coated project. Slide a wood-graining rocker through the wet wash glaze, rocking it slowly at intervals to create a wood-grain effect. Start at one end of the stroke, and keep going in one continuous motion to the other end.

Continue, stroke after stroke, wiping the picked-up glaze from the rocker as you go along. Vary the look from row to row by using the notched edge of the rocker to comb through the glaze instead of rocking through it. Using the two patterns alternately will give a natural wood-grain look.

When one is combed but before the glaze dries completely, use a clean paintbrush, Softener or rag to go over the again lightly to soften the grain

Step 4:When the paint is completely dry, seal the with a coat or two of clear Da Vinci Glaze or waterbased Poyurathane
